What is Malware?
Malware is a broad term that refers to a variety of malicious programs. This post will define several of the most common types of malware; adware, bots, bugs, rootkits, spyware, Trojan horses, viruses, and worms.

Adware:
Adware is a form of malware that hides on your device and serves you advertisements


Bots
An Internet bot, also known as a web robot, robot or simply bot, is a software application that runs automated tasks over the Internet

Bugs
A "bug" in computing is a coding error in a computer program or device, this error causes the program or device to behave in a way it was not intended to. Bugs may be fixed using a patch in newer versions of the program or device.



Trojan horses 
In computing, a Trojan horse, or Trojan, is any malware which misleads users of its true intent. The term is derived from the Ancient Greek story of the deceptive Trojan Horse that led to the fall of the city of Troy


Viruses
A computer virus is a type of computer program that, when executed, replicates itself by modifying other computer programs and inserting its own code. When this replication succeeds, the affected areas are then said to be "infected" with a computer virus.

Worms.
computer worm is self-replicating malware that duplicates itself to spread to uninfected computers
