What is Onion Router?
Think of it as a multi-point-to-point proxy matrix. Unlike peer to peer applications like BitTorrent or eMule which expose your IP to everyone, Tor uses a series of intermediary nodes (and thus, IPs) that encrypt your data all along the network chain. At the endpoint, your data is Decrypted by an exit node so that no one can pinpoint your location or tell which file came from which computer. Due to this Anonymizing process, you are anonymous on account of the packed "onion layers" that hide your true IP address.

How To Install Tor Browser In Kali Linux Using Apt
If you are using Kali Linux
So do same Steps....
Tor is available in Kali repository, to install it directly from the repository open your Terminal and type this:
Command = apt-get update
Command = apt-get install tor
If no error occurs, follow the second step.(If you can’t install Tor using the first method then you may try this option)
Add repo to sources.list file By using this command...
leafpad /etc/apt/sources.list
Insert this line......
After this we add to To GPG Keys
After This We Update package lists
Command = apt-get update
We must Install singing keys:
Command = apt-get install deb.torproject.org-keyring
Finally
Use this command
Command = apt-get install tor
